Radiografia Arquitectonica JUS 1

Radiografía Arquitectónica:
Museo de Arte de Ciudad Juárez

The video “Radiografía Arquitectónica” (Architectural X-Ray) of the Museum of Art of Ciudad Juarez is a study on the spatial perception of the museum's architecture through its axes, edges and elements that compose it.

The study explores the unique structure and building skin in relation to all the elements and surfaces that coexist in the museum universe (walls, ceiling, dome, columns, windows and exteriors), directly and later in reverse, echoing the reflection pool that surrounds it. The line scans increase in density and are layered giving a sense of depth and movement, creating an “x-ray” effect, presenting new perspectives and spatial qualities of the architecture that are imperceptible to the naked eye.

The study explores the way architecture can be perceived. By revealing hidden moments of the museum, it invites viewers to reflect on the dynamism of the forms found in the design of Architect Pedro Ramírez Vázquez, as well as the nature of its architecture and its impact on our experience.
